Salzburg, Austria has some cool people.
If you are one of those people let me commend you! Honestly I found the people in Austria SO friendly, with their glowing skin (possibly from the schnapps), and their unhindered singing (most likely from the schnapps too…) and of course their willingness to talk about anything (come to think of it they had some schnapps). Austria has a lot of schnapps. So here is a glimpse of Salzburg, Austria! And schnapps…
If you think a really old city, with a river through it, based in Europe is cool, well then you just came to the right place! Salzburg, Austria is definitely a tourism destination, but while I was there (early faltumn) it was not crazy busy, and the weather was VERY pleasant! So be prepared to do some walking while in Salzburg, not like marathon walking like you would do in Paris however. It is actually really easy to get around on foot as the old part of town isn’t huge.
Now while I was walking around I found one of my most hated things, and once of the most terrifying things I have seen… First the hated things.
Now imagine yourself trapped with a thousand of these little things, AND THEY ALL CAME TO LIFE!
As my post about Innsbruck stated, the food you can find in Salzburg, is also VERY good! Don’t be afraid to ask people where you can find traditional Bavarian food and they will point you in the right direction!
Salzburg Austria is seriously a place I highly recommend visiting. A place I didn’t really know about, or ever really have an interest of exploring. Now though, I am so glad it happened. If you are ever in Munich, do yourself a favor and rent yourself a BMW, drive down the Autobahn for an hour and a half and visit Salzburg! I leave you with this.
